L'Assaggio in Cologne

The Italian we trust. For us there is no better pizza anywhere in Cologne. The ingredients are always fresh and of the best quality and the service is excellent.

We just had food delivered to us. I had a pepperoni pizza. Thought so much couldn't go wrong. I was completely wrong. A lot of under-baked dough and tons of mozzarella. Unfortunately, delicious is different. I don't know where the many good reviews come from. Maybe it's better on site.

From the outside rather inconspicuous or very easy to overlook, directly behind the bus stop. Inside very nicely and invitingly furnished, and also a m.E. beautiful outside area in the back garden. I personally always recognize a good restaurant by its wine ... I swear, they know about food and wine. Everything delicious. What does everything mean? No, I didn't put the entire menu in, only had pizza and red wine, but we were there with friends and everyone was delighted without exception. Price-performance-friendliness ratio = premium class. Star deduction? Staff super nice, almost familiar, ... I only found the boss (subjective point of view) slightly arrogant, maybe it is only due to the fact "last weekend before another lockdown light". Who knows?

The food was very good. Have not eaten such a good pizza in Germany for a long time. Pasta with crawfish was also recommended. Only the "showcase" starter was unfortunately a little emotionless.

Got the tip from my Italian hairdresser and was not disappointed. Really more Italians and not pizzerias. Was delicious, nice atmosphere and very friendly and funny. It's just a little out of the way coming from the city.

Food is usually OK service but not really. In my complaint (pizza was not), there was no regret or apology or a new one, she had to pay.

The restaurant is very cozy and has a nice terrace. The food is authentic and therefore just delicious. It is a family business. Just as warm as you know it from Italy. Top class !!!

Very good pizza, noodles but also fish dishes. The service is Italian-friendly. You can sit outside in the summer but pretty close to the street.
